Baywinds
This posh poolside club, cooled by the tradewinds, is a romantic
place to be in the evening. Couples in their 20s and 30s dance
at the side of the luxurious pool as moonlight glitters off
the ocean in the background. Music ranges from jazz to pop.
Open nightly, with live music and dinner from 6pm to midnight.

Epernay
This stylish watering hole with a view of the ocean adds a touch
of Europe to the neighborhood. You can order glasses of at least
six different brands of champagne and vintage wines by the glass.
Appetizers include sushi and caviar. You can also order main
courses, plus tempting desserts, such as chocolate-dipped strawberries.
A mature, sophisticated crowd seeks out this spot. 34-774-5348.
The Green House
Set directly on the waterfront, this bar and restaurant (listed
in "Dining," earlier in this chapter) is one of the
few night spots we recommend in the heart of Charlotte Amalie.
You can park nearby and walk to the entrance. Each night a different
entertainment is featured, ranging from reggae to disco. Almost
all of the 30-something patrons are visitors. 340-774-7998.
Walter’s Living Room
This intimate, dimly lit, two-level bar attracts locals, often
gay men, in season, drawing more off-island visitors in winter.
It's located about 100 yards from the island's famous synagogue,
in a clapboard town house built around 1935. The music here
ranges from the 1950s to the 1970s.
